New Super Mario Bros 2 Game Review

No? Well OK, sorry. The main reason it’s taken so long to compose the game inspection for “New Super Mario Bros. 2” is since it takes an absolute age to write that title! Only kidding, the fact remains I took such a long time to write this because I’ve been having a lot of fun playing with it!

Currently, while this may sound like a mobile strike unlimited gold fantastic thing (since it is) I really do have any negative points, to start with let me inform you how easy the game is. Frankly it gets my 6 year-old self think I was completely incompetent at winning contests when I was younger, but I was not! Even the fact of the matter is, “NSMB2” is only much simpler than Mario matches of old, I’m not saying that there isn’t a challenge for the seasoned fans of accountants that are chubby, however overall if you are proficient at Mario games you’re going to be halfway through those levels like no body’s business, and if you are not? Well in case you die enough times onto a degree you are awarded the chance to use the gold raccoon suit, which ostensibly allows you to invincible to all but falling off the level. Therefore failure isn’t an option really.

Let’s have a moment to check over some other unwanted things, ‘variety’ there’s not much, apart from the principles like ‘fire blossom’ and ‘superb mushroom’ there isn’t really lots of brand new items, the ‘mini mushroom’ and ‘mega Shrimp’ create a welcome return however are barely used. The only new addition to the roster of power ups worth mentioning is the ‘golden fire flower’ which turns Mario to a Midas/Terminator hybrid, smashing bricks and also criminals all around the show, very cool indeed. But aside from that it is business as usual with the controllers being as tight as always and the charm factor cranked up to 11. Oh and I should certainly mention the coins, everybody likes coins directly? Well you had better, because you’ll be collecting a good deal of those! One thousand to be exact.

However, you may end up following the considerable quantity of 1,000,000 golden coins that this time round and you will find lots of methods for achieving this (HINT: Golden Fire Flower might help.)

A new feature which I’ve yet to try out is ‘coin rush’ you post the fastest times on 3 arbitrary levels to your “streetpass” from the game when you and a stranger or friend pass one another at the road along with your 3DS’s their coin rush struggle will show in your match and yours on theirs, then it is possible to attempt to beat the times they posted and expect they are failing miserably at trying to be at yours.

Well I know it appears to be a lack-lustre review because it may be the first time I’ve reviewed a Mario game for the workplace. But I’ve been reviewing Mario games since I was a kid, every game that is published is compared to it’s predecessors also it’s no different with Mario, but after 25 years the reviews will start to sound stale for the same franchise, but let me tell you something. This match is really enjoyable and a franchise doesn’t have to be more than 25 yrs old if it isn’t really enjoyable to play with. So don’t be concerned about any of it, the match wasn’t broken so they didn’t need to deal with it, they will have made a couple tweaks here and there and shined it with gloss and gave it that the golden stamps.

Video Game Visuals – 85/100 (Crisp, vibrant, resilient and beautiful. Only letdown by the weird 3D effect that blurs the backdrop purpose if flipped on, to add the results of thickness. Which seems sort of pointless on a device with the capacity of 3 measurements! Better played in 2D in my opinion)

Video Game Gameplay – 90/100 (It’s Super Mario! Nintendo wouldn’t release a Mario game which doesn’t always have tight and responsive controls. Besides it really is business as usual with cruelty to turtles and also a careless disregard to health and safety by eating eggs that are strange. Overall, the way it ought to be but it loses a couple of points if you are just a bit too straightforward.)
